   Job Purpose

    Key Outputs may include but are not limited to:

  1. TEAM LEADERSHIP: Supervise and coordinate the work of hospitality staff, setting performance expectations, assigning tasks, and conducting regular performance evaluations1.
  2. LIFESTYLE SERVICES AND EATERIES: Oversee hospitality services, ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience. Management of onsite Lifestyle service providers & Restaurant providers. Ensure that we provide services with excellence by meeting the highest standard and quality measures of service delivery.
  3. OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES: Implement efficient processes and maintain high-quality standards throughout Discovery ECP.
  4. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. MONTHLY INVOICING and BUDGETING:  Ensure monthly invoicing is processed timeously.  Assist with General Ledger feedback and follow up with Procurement monthly.  Explanations regarding Variances reports monthly.  Assist with Budget management for the Gqeberha branch annually.
  5. TRAINING AND ONBOARDING: Facilitate training and onboarding for new team members to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  6. SCHEDULING AND SHIFT MANAGEMENT: Manage staff schedules and shifts effectively.
  7. QUALITY CONTROL: Monitor and maintain quality standards in all hospitality services.
  8. CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Handle stakeholders’ inquiries, complaints, and feedback.
  9. OPERATIONAL REPORTING: Prepare reports for senior management, providing insights into team performance and operational efficiency.
  10. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT: Liaise with Legal and Procurement to ensure contracts are in place.
  11. SOFT SERVICES (Cleaning, Vending, Plants & Flowers):  Management of operations of all soft services at the Gqeberha branch. Ensure that we provide services with excellence by meeting the highest standard and quality measures of service delivery.
  12. COMMUNICATION & BRANDING & SIGNAGE:  Communication to business for CRES dept. Assist with all branding requirements from Head office.
  13. HEALTH & SAFETY - EVENT CO-ORDINATING:  Book and co-ordinate all onsite events for Gqeberha branch and national initiatives. Ensure Health and Safety permits and indemnities are in order.
  14. CLIENT LIASON: Liaison with the Coega Landlord to ensure Hospitalities within the building, are met within Discovery’s standard.  This would include Hygiene requirements, Events Plannings, Meeting Room Booking, Access control requests for visitors, etc.

 

 

  Job / Role Requirements

Work Experience

Required

Facilities Management | Events | Customer Service \ 5 years

Preferred (would be advantageous)

Reception | Customer Service Front Line | Finance \ 3 years

 

 

Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

Required

Grade 12, MS Office suite

Preferred (would be advantageous)

Professional Registration

Technical Skills or Knowledge

Required

Customer service, Computer Literacy (MS Office suite), Administrative skills, Communication skills, Procurement processes & Budget reporting
