Professional Assistant - Bankmed Service Team

Function:  Personal Assistant/Secretary

Job Purpose:

To act as a key support partner and be an extension of the Executive, through professional interactions with various stakeholders the team engages with.


Job Description:

Performs secretarial duties and attends to routine and specific matters of a business and personal nature for a Senior Manager.

Manages calendar and independently schedules appointments.

Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible.

Arranges events or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterers, issuing information or invitations and coordinating speakers.

Prepares records such as agenda, notices, minutes and resolutions for corporate meetings.

Arranges detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for meetings.

Works with data to compile reports.

Produces presentations.

Managing customer queries and escalations

General administrative duties

Provide support to other staff in the broader Service Teams

Coordinating and distributing documents

Coordinating projects as necessary.

Payroll, overtime, reimbursement duties

Creating digital content

Co-ordinating social committee/activities

Co-ordinating CSI initiatives/activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric (essential)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite at an advanced level (essential)
  • Corporate PA Experience or Project Management Experience (essential)
  • Project Management skills (essential)
  • Business Administration diploma or certificate advantageous (preferable)
  • MS Office certificate (preferable)
  • Internal knowledge of Bankmed / Discovery processes and business networks (preferable)
  • Video editing knowledge (advantageous)
  • Digital content creation (advantageous)
