The Business Analyst (Junior) role in the Healthcare Digital Solutions team will work on innovative and dynamic new projects and product enhancements in order to improve business inefficiencies, gain competitive advantage on our products and to ultimately provide better service to our clients. Using knowledge of the organization’s technology infrastructure and specific software applications, the Business Analyst (Intermediate) will help the business to address changes through technology. 

 

Key Purpose

 

 The role will work to understand the overall business needs, define and document the requirements, using various approaches such as use cases and then decomposing the requirements to a sufficient level of detail allowing the implementation team to take action. The Business Analyst (Junior) will support the project throughout the project lifecycle and will manage the release as well as post release monitoring. The role also plays a key role in end-to-end testing of new functionality including UAT for business sign-off. 

 

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:

The successful candidate will be required to perform but not limited to the following key outputs in respect of the Healthcare Digital Solutions portfolio:

 

  • Run a requirements gathering/JAD workshop to gather new requirements
  • Document business requirement specifications under supervision of a Senior BA
  • Accurately document functional requirements specifications clearly defining project objectives
  • Construct complex process models and can create UML models and execute user acceptance or system testing
  • Resolve requirements conflict through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Identify and document project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
  • Identify and perform process improvement work
  • Perform quality assurance of business analysis deliverables

Education and Experience

 

  • BCom or BSc in Information Systems or Computer Science; or equivalent 3-year IT qualification
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Experience with DBMS such as PL/SQL
  • Beneficial knowledge and experience of tools such as Enterprise Architect, XML, SOAP UI, Ms Visio and JIRA
  • Strong documentation skills in technical and architecture specifications
  • Process knowledge of SDLC, Unit testing, database structure design, technical change control
  • Unit testing and mocking frameworks
  • Experience with industry standard and governance protocols
  • Exposure to Agile methodology
