Job Purpose

Catering production

  1. Ensuring food is being produced safely and according to health and safety requirements.

Ordering goods / stock

  1. Request stock needed for events from the store man.
  2. Check stock quality.
  3. Check expiry date.
  4. Packing stock into designated storages.
  5. Daily monitoring the quality of stock in storages.

Health and Safety

  1. Cleaning and managing designated areas and stores.
  2. Working with HSE to ensure higher grading on kitchen audits.

Catering events

  1. Responsible for ensuring food is being prepared as per menus provided.
  2. Ensuring food is displayed and set-up 45 minutes before the event starts.

Wastage

  1. Manage quantities of food being produced to reduce wastage.
  2. Ordering what is needed for the week, to reduce the risk of spoilage.

Documenting

  1. Transfer document for stock allocation
  2. Requisitioning forms.
  3. Recipes to be followed as per the recipe file.
  1. Inventory control

Work Experience

Required

5 years working experience

 

 Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

Required

Culinary qualification / Diploma
