Telesales Consultant

 Job Purpose

 This position is based in the Discovery Connect Sales call centre, and reports to the sales team leader. The successful individual will be required to conduct Discovery Telesales. 

Sell the Discovery Products via inbound and outbound calls. Manage and convert various lead types that are generated by the business. Respond to new leads regarding product enquiries with the intent of possible conversion into a sale.

Key purpose

To achieve targets that will grow Discovery Gap. Build the brand and ensure that clients engage our range of products and benefits and experience our shared value offering and get client to be healthier.

 Key Outputs 

The successful individual will be required to perform on, but not limited to the following key outputs:

• Consistently achieve monthly sales and activations target set by the business
• Capture all client application information accurately on the system
• Based on client profile ensure that correct products are sold to clients
• Meet all Productivity requirements
• Meet all Quality and Compliance requirements
• Successfully complete all ongoing assessments

Qualification & Experience

Essential

• Matric
• At least 1- 2-years sales experience, preferably in an outbound telesales environment
• NQF5 and RE5 qualification
• Tertiary qualification would be an advantage
• PC literacy, email, word, excel
