Reporting Optimisation Specialist

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reporting Optimisation Specialist to join our finance team. This role will be instrumental in enhancing our financial reporting processes through targeted system optimisation, primarily within our OneStream platform. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of process documentation, experience in finance system project implementation, and a good working knowledge of OneStream. You will be capable of contributing to "as-is" assessments, assisting in the design of optimisation solutions in OneStream, and creating clear Excel mock-ups and model design documents.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to "as-is" assessments of current financial reporting processes to identify areas for optimisation.
  • Assist in the design and documentation of improved reporting solutions, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop clear and concise Excel mock-ups and contribute to model design documents to illustrate proposed systems solutions.
  • Support the documentation of both existing and new reporting processes.
  • Participate in finance system implementation projects, with a focus on finanace system enhancements related to reporting.
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand reporting needs and contribute to the development of practical solutions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of application metadata (dimensions, workflow management, tasks, and transformation rules).
  • Participate in the testing and deployment of new system functionality aimed at optimising the reporting cycle.
  • Contribute to ensuring the effective integration between finance systems.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on reporting process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to end-users on new reporting solutions.

 

Work Experience:

  • Experience working with finance systems, including participation in project implementation.
  • Understanding process documentation and improvement concepts.
  • Good working knowledge of financial reporting system, including familiarity with building and running reports.
  • Experience in contributing to "as-is" assessments and the design of improved processes.
  • Ability to create Excel mock-ups and contribute to model design documents.
  • Eagerness to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of basic processes, governance, and internal control concepts.
  • Ability to work with some direction and take initiative.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SageX3, SAP).
  • Experience with OneStream.

Basic understanding of SQL
