The studio delivers high-quality in-person classes, masterclasses, webinars, corporate events, and food-based services that empower individuals and organisations to make healthier choices. As the studio continues to grow, we are seeking a highly capable consultant to drive commercial growth while ensuring exceptional event delivery and operational excellence.
Role Purpose
The Business Development & Events Coordinator Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the commercial footprint of the HealthyFood Studio, while also planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality events and experiences. This role combines business development, sales, event management and operational coordination requiring a commercially astute, highly organised individual with a strong passion for health, wellness, and premium client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
1. Events Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact corporate events, team builds, masterclasses, and special events from concept through to completion.
- Manage the full event lifecycle, including briefing, planning, scheduling, budgeting, logistics, delivery, and post-event evaluation.
- Coordinate chef bookings and manage liaison with legal, finance, marketing, PR, and operations teams.
- Oversee catering and event requirements, including staffing, hiring of goods, supplier coordination, and on-the-day management.
- Develop and manage detailed event timelines to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards at all events and activities.
2. Administration & Studio Operations
- Manage online booking systems for internal and external clients, including confirmations, cancellations, refunds, and reporting.
- Oversee invoicing, finance reconciliation, and budget tracking related to events and bookings.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date operational records, files, and documentation.
- Prepare for monthly meetings, take minutes, and contribute to dashboard and operational reporting.
- Document and continuously improve administrative and operational processes.
- Respond to member, client, and partner queries, and support ad hoc operational requirements.
3. Business Development, Strategy & Growth
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to drive monthly and annual revenue growth.
- Develop and implement business development strategies, including new revenue streams such as partnerships, collaborations and corporate wellness programmes.
- Create and manage business development plans with clear objectives, targets and delivery timelines.
- Assess and refine existing business models to improve profitability, scalability and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.
4. Brand, Marketing & Client Engagement
- Drive end-to-end social media marketing strategy and execution across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring alignment with Discovery Vitality brand standards.
- Conceptualise, create, and manage high-quality digital content, including short-form and long-form video, reels, photography, and written content to promote classes, events, and studio offerings.
- Lead the planning and production of engaging video content, including scripting, on-site direction, and coordination with editors to deliver polished, brand-aligned outputs.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that supports campaign objectives, seasonal activations, and business growth targets.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams on integrated campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging across digital, events, and partnerships.
- Analyse engagement metrics and performance data to continuously optimise content strategy, audience growth, and conversion to bookings.
- Build and manage digital community engagement, responding to queries, driving interaction, and enhancing the overall client experience online.
- Partner with chefs, nutritionists, and influencers to create authentic, high-impact content collaborations that expand reach and brand credibility.
- Ensure all client touchpoints—digital and in-person—deliver a premium, seamless brand experience that drives loyalty and repeat business.
5. Sales & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, partners, suppliers, nutritionists, chefs, and wellness influencers.
- Identify prospective clients and partners, lead commercial negotiations, and establish long-term agreements.
- Support lead conversion by working closely with internal teams to increase bookings, client acquisition and repeat business.
- Represent Vitality HealthyFood Studio at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to enhance brand presence and pipeline development.
6. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Source, negotiate with and manage suppliers and service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance.
- Manage vendor contracts, performance, and relationships to deliver consistent service standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to ensure aligned, high-quality event and business outcomes.
7. Revenue, Reporting & Performance Management
- Track and report on business development, sales and event performance against agreed targets.
- Assist in forecasting revenue, budgets, and growth projections.
- Prepare a monthly business development and performance report for HealthyFood Studio MANCO, including:
o Progress against agreed targets
o Status of strategic initiatives
o Recovery plans where targets are at risk
o Recommendations for new growth initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Essential / Preferred:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role encompassing business development, events, hospitality and operations.
- Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Planned and executed premium corporate events, masterclasses, and wellness experiences end-to-end, ensuring seamless delivery and high client satisfaction.
- Drove business development initiatives, identifying new revenue streams, partnerships, and corporate opportunities to grow studio income.
- Managed full operational administration including bookings, financial tracking, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Built and maintained relationships with clients, suppliers, chefs, and wellness partners to support ongoing business growth.
Marketing, Content & Brand:
- Led social media marketing and digital content strategy, managing platform presence and driving audience growth and engagement.
- Produced video and visual content (reels, event highlights, promotional videos) to showcase studio offerings and increase bookings.
- Developed and executed a structured content calendar aligned to campaigns, events, and seasonal initiatives.
- Partnered with influencers and industry experts to create collaborative content and expand brand reach.
- Monitored and analysed content performance, optimising campaigns to improve engagement, conversion, and ROI.
- Ensured consistent premium brand experience across all digital and client engagement channels.
