Discovery Vitality RSA is looking to recruit an Executive Associate who will work closely with the CEO as well as members of the Executive Team.  Discovery Executive Associates have a unique opportunity to enjoy accelerated growth and development through work with and exposure to our best and most senior leaders.

As the Executive Associate of Vitality RSA you will:

 

  • Participate in strategic debates at Exco and Manco level;
  • Be responsible for board & executive reporting as well as strategic communications
  • Take ownership of projects that support the realisation of Vitality RSA’s strategy;
  • Enable and operationalise strategic initiatives across Vitality and Group wide initiatives;
  • Attend Vitality RSA Exco, Ops Exco as well as Vitality RSA Board
  • Provide support to the Exco team in the execution of their responsibilities

 

Key outputs

 

  • Strategic debate that informs the direction and deliverables of the BU;
  • Ability to problem-solve and implement complex and innovative solutions;
  • Detailed research and analysis to provide substance to the ideas and direction of the executive team;
  • Project management of strategic initiatives;
  • Compilation of presentations for delivery by the Exco members to both internal and external audiences;
  • Input into operational design and process efficiencies;
  • Preparation of proposals for strategic partnerships and new products for both external and internal distribution.
  • Initiation of projects including business case formulation, seeking approval for the necessary forums and using the current implementation structures to successful implementation.

Qualifications and experience 

 

  • Formal qualification/s, preferably at the Masters level or higher, with a strong analytical or business focus, and a proven record of academic excellence (Actuarial, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Information Technology etc.)
  • Client centred role – consulting experience with a top tier consulting firm
  • Five to eight years business experience, ideally in a leadership role
  • Extensive business and/or technical experience with a proven track record of innovation, entrepreneurship, delivery and performance
