Vitality Wellness Specialist


Key Purpose

This person will be responsible for supporting the clinical development aspects of Vitality pertaining to the following areas:

• Lifestyle intervention at an individual and Corporate level
• Vitality website and web-enabled interactive products
• Vitality Wellness Network and its initiatives
• Marketing and communication regarding Vitality Wellness products

Activation and explanation of products and benefits

Interact with high profile clients


Key Outputs

• Drive the clinical message of Vitality
• Input into Vitality wellness product development
• Development of a lifestyle intervention programme to address modifiable risk factors.
• Assist in implementation of any wellness initiatives (e.g. Wellness Networks, Web-based, Corporate Wellness)
• Manage any clinical queries that may arise from the Vitality Wellness Network, from either members or practitioners.
• Assist in smooth running and ongoing implementation of any new clinical initiatives or enhancements developed for Vitality
• Build relationships with external parties who would be able to participate in a wellness network
• Build relationships with internal teams including systems and marketing in developing and implementing new wellness products.
• Input into the operations of the various wellness networks as required.
• Assist with training of the various networks to ensure that members who interact with the Wellness Network receive good service and effective lifestyle management advice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric plus Clinical qualification (e.g. Dietetics). Must be registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
• Word, Excel, Power Point
• Good clinical knowledge of health promotion, preventative care, chronic diseases, nutrition and physical activity

Vitality knowledge and experience

• Knowledge of healthcare/medical aid industry
• Minimum 2 years’ clinical work experience
• Experience in a corporate concern
• Management experience
