Key Purpose

 

The main purpose of this role is to enable the business to have a high degree of assurance in data quality and to draw out insights from data to support management decision making.  This will be achieved by performing data & Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit and remediation related tasks and the data that feeds into the various departments.

 

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

 

  • Assisting with data investigations
  • Capture data changes and updates required across business functions.
  • Logging of relevant calls on JIRA.
  • Researching relevant topics and compiling communication for this
  • Communicating the data remediation outcomes and results. This is achieved by putting together reports and visualizations like charts and graphs.
  • Data quality monitoring and identify gaps across functional processes and trends to improve processes and quality.
  • Maintain required levels of data quality, accuracy and completeness.
  • Liaison with both internal and external clients to ensure resolution of data queries.

Education and Experience

 

  • Matric
  • SQL Knowledge
  • Experience working with large sets of data and remediation.
  • MS Office experience with Intermediate Excel

Technical Skills and Knowledge

 

Essential:

  • Analytical

  • Problem Solver
  • Advanced proficiency in MS suite (MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Specific experience in doing v-look up, pivots and formulas on excel.
