Key Purpose

​​The successful candidate will be required to take accountability to lead, organise, plan and control multiple technical IT projects, in a manner that will ensure that the Project goals and objectives are achieved within the overall scope and that overall delivery takes place within time and budget and ensure that value is provided to the department to meets its objectives.

Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to:

• Manage and participate in scoping and planning workshops.
• Maintain Scope of Work and Project Plans.
• Ensure delivery of project deliverables within the agreed time, cost and quality.
• Ensure that project milestones are met.
• Issue resolution and management.
• Management of project risks
• Scope change control.
• Coordinate and Manage meetings according to the agreed schedule and format.
• Compile status reports within area of responsibility.
• Manage the quality of the project output.
• Mentor and guide the project team where required.
• Adhere to the prescribed Project Management standards, templates and code of conduct.
• Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal
• Manage change across multiple projects and monitor it
• Working with partners and different business units
• Developing and managing budgets
• Projects Benefits Realization
• Sound understanding of insurance products and processes and competitive advantages
• Strong understanding of IT processes and methodologies

Knowledge and Skills:

• Agile method experience

• Using AI tools for Project Management
• Ability to break down complex Technology project objectives and work accurately to detail
• Ability to meet specific project goals and objectives.
• Ability to lead and manage virtual teams of internal or external resources
• Good command of the English language.

Education and Experience

Education:

• Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics
• Project Management (Qualification) Diploma or Certificate

Experience:             

• Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in Project Management environment
• Minimum 1 - 3 years’ experience in running projects in an IT environment
• Minimum 1-2 years experience in rolling out change management to Business
• Must have a proven record managing multiple projects simultaneously
