Key Purpose

As a Product Manager for Global Product, you will be responsible for enabling our global product strategy. You will play a critical role to understand our business objectives and marry these with our market and member needs.  As a Product Manager you are obsessed with excellent customer experiences and driving business value.  You are proficient at working with cross-functional teams and upward stakeholder management.   You will articulate new features and enhancements to engineering teams, package product enhancements for our customers, drive adoption of these, set and track product KPIs.  You will work to improve our product management practises to harden our processes and ways of working.  

 

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

 

  1. Responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive product roadmap that realizes our product vision.
  2. Accountable for the conceptualization, design, and delivery of prioritised features
  3. Responsible for product enablement and promotion both to internal and external stakeholders
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive out the conceptualisation, design and development of new features.  To package product enhancements for our customers, drive adoption of these, set and track product KPIs
  5. Manage a product backlog for maintenance and enhancements
  6. Maintain an ongoing proactive partnership with technology team members to ensure business demands are understood and delivered within agreed timelines 
  7. Effectively communicate program status and progress against objectives to markets and senior management. Synthesize relevant information on key milestones, success criteria, opportunities, dependencies, and risks. Escalate critical issues appropriately
  8. Identification and monitoring of key performance indicators
  9. Work closely with market teams to understand product strategy, needs, and pain points to inform product roadmap.

Education and Experience

Required:

  • NQF Level 5: Certified in at least one of the following: 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree in Information Technology.
  • Advanced UML course, BPMN Course would be advantageous
  • BA Certification or BA Diploma or Advanced BA Qualification is advantageous

 

Experience:

  • 5 + years+ experience in business/systems analysis in a business/client facing capacity
  • V1 platform experience strongly preferred
