Key Purpose

Key outputs

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following job functions:

Aligning/Integrating Discovery Service Offering:

• Understand corporate clients’ and intermediaries’ strategic objectives and develop strategic plans.
• Provide ongoing support and information to key clients and intermediaries.
• Identify and drive opportunities for growth across all Discovery products
• Recognize and manage potential risks to Discovery.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking.
• Perform client needs analysis.
• Implement and manage business strategic initiatives.
   

Market and manage ‘value’ proposition by:

• Manage and retain the portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships.
• Engage regularly with employers and brokers.
• Liaise with dedicated brokers and/or distribution channels.
• Network extensively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain turnaround times (TAT) and communications between clients and Discovery.
• Recognize and manage risks and potential threats and providing solutions.
• Identify areas for improvement.
• Arrange and facilitate corporate wellness offerings.
• Managing the implementation of projects to achieve defined objectives and to provide reports on the progress, impact and sentiment. 

Analysis:

• Reporting, trending and providing recommendations through the appropriate channels
• Analysing customer data base (Discovery View) – identifying potential risk, trends and opportunities
• Providing Monthly and quarterly client reports
• Monitoring and analysing performance of each corporate account.

Education and Experience

The following requirements are essential:

• NQF level 7
• Advanced MS Office skills
• Minimum of 5-7 years Corporate Employer and Broker relationship experience or similar
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
• In-depth knowledge of the Discovery Health product, processes, and systems
• In-depth knowledge of the medical schemes industry and landscape

Advantageous

• Experience in dealing with Brokers and clients on a senior level.
