Job purpose
Provide analytical, strategic, and problem-solving capabilities to support high-impact initiatives across Discovery Connect. The Analyst will enable and operationalize strategic projects that drive business performance, optimize processes, and deliver measurable impact in DC value chain. This role requires strong strategic acumen, data-driven decision-making, and executive-level communication to influence outcomes and support leadership priorities
Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect, clean, and analyze multi-source data to generate actionable insights for strategic projects.
- Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor performance metrics and identify trends.
- Translate data into strategic recommendations and decision-support for senior stakeholders.
- Perform end-to-end analyses, including analytical modelling, with light manager guidance
Project Support
- Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aligned with Discovery Connect objectives.
- Support project managers in preparing business cases, documentation, and change management plans.
- Track and report on project progress against defined strategic and operational benchmarks.
- Understand implications of own workstream for overall project outcomes and interdependencies.
Process Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Data Science, Systems, Quality, Conservations) to implement enhancements.
- Measure the impact of implemented solutions and iterate based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.
Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Communication
- Prepare presentations and reports for management forums and steering committees (e.g., Exco, Management Forum, SteerCos).
- Storyboard and structure content for clarity and impact at executive level; synthesise key messages from complex analyses.
- Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders at various levels; tailor messaging to audience

Technical Requirements :
- Experience working with PL/SQL language and relational databases; ability to write performant queries and stored procedures.
- SQL certification or equivalent data analytics certification (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Python data analysis) advantageous.
Qualification & Experience
Essential Requirements:
- 1–3 years’ experience in strategy, business analysis, analytics, or consulting within a fast-paced environment
- Analytical tertiary education background B Comm or BSc preferably at post-graduate level.
- Management consulting from a MBB consulting firm preferred
- Proven track record in business analysis and/or operations management
- Interpersonal relationship skills
- Proven experience of successful implementation of business process change projects involving data and analytics
- Understanding of Business Processes
- Understanding of data and statistics
- Proficiency in data science tools is advantageous
