Key Purpose
To understand the business requirements, and through a structured process, design, document, validate and translate it into models or functional documentation/report that are used stakeholders to build a technical solution and or track progress. Test and validate the functionality of the technical solution against the business requirements. Ensure that the business requirements are delivered in the implemented solution. Interface between the business customer and the development team with regards to the business, non-functional and functional requirements and assist in driving innovative technical solutions.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
- Business and technical requirements gathering and analysis
- Analyze, model, and interpret data using different tools and techniques
- Provide support to business in implementing effective and efficient solutions.
- Formulation of analysis documentation
- User stories creation including acceptance criteria
- Conduct Functional Specification/user stories walkthroughs with the delivery team
- Document Product feature artifacts and conduct handover sessions with the external market teams

Education and Experience
Education
- NQF Level 5: Certified in a 3-year National Diploma, BSc Computer Science, or BCom Information Systems (or similar). Honurs degree (advantageous)
- Business Analyst Certification, Diploma, or Advanced BA Qualification (advantageous)
Experience
- 2 – 4 years Application Support Analysist or Business/Systems Analysis experience or 1 – 3 years of development experience
