Key Purpose
Technical Marketing is a core function throughout the Discovery Group, responsible for analytical and research projects that support product development, sales and distribution strategies, and strategic initiatives throughout the business. Disseminating the skills and expertise of Technical Marketing and distribution will be key for VHI Africa as the business continues to expand and develop new products in Africa.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
1.Data & Market Analysis
• Assist in gathering and analysing data for sales and product performance.
• Support research on competitor products and market trends.
2.Sales Material Support
• Help prepare technical marketing materials, presentations, and reports.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of product information across channels.
3.Campaign & Sales Support
• Provide ad hoc support to sales and distribution teams.
• Assist in tracking campaign performance and preparing insights.
4.Collaboration & Coordination
• Work with product and marketing teams to update content and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for product launches and broker communications.
5.Learning & Development
• Gain exposure to insurance products, shared-value insurance principles, and technical marketing processes.
• Participate in training and development programs to build technical and analytical skills.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
• Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Experience and understanding of the Vitality product and the Shared-Value Insurance proposition a plus.
