Key Purpose

The Technical Team Leader will be responsible for managing the technical software development team (i.e. website, front-end, app and back-end) to successfully implement the best solutions across multiple digital Insure platforms in a highly pressurised environment.

 

Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to

• Using deep technical know-how of all stages in digital development (i.e. systems development life cycle) and an understanding of the part each developer plays in the development of the solution, create a detailed project plan that outlines the team’s workload on a day-by-day basis and monitor progress against the plan to ensure all solutions are launched successfully. 

• Manage key internal and external stakeholders (incl. vendors) across the project to ensure that the software development team has the necessary information or technical system requirements to successfully deliver the solution.

• Maintain and/or regularly review processes used by the software development teams to ensure adherence to industry best practices and security / compliance policies.

• Create technical system specification documents, using architectural support, and interpret swim-lanes to understand the impact across the end-to-end view of the product, back-end and user journeys to ensure software development solutions meet business requirements and / or goals.

• Responsible for providing technical leadership and promoting a positive working relationship between the software development team and all stakeholders.

• Produce analysis that outlines the impact and priority of solutions taking into consideration level of effort, client impact, infrastructure, network and technology stack supportability and resourcing (i.e. human / financial) needs.

Education and Experience

Education:

  • Matric (Essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems (Essential)

 

Minimum Experience:              

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience successfully managing projects to implement digital software solutions. (Essential)
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience building user interfaces (UI’s) with a track record in creating client journey’s in both the app and web screen designs. (Essential)
  • In-depth A deep understanding of the technical stacks, across the Insure App, WSP, DDID, Web and Native environments. (Advantageous)
