Key Purpose

The Primary Function of this role is to perform, identify and test business functional requirements. Execution of regression testing, execution of test cases and reporting thereof for UAT testing.

 

 

 Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to:

  • Test Design & Analysis — Identify test conditions; create test designs, test cases, procedure specifications and test data; perform GAP analysis on requirements.
  • Test Execution & Defect Management — Execute and log tests, evaluate results, document problems found, log/track/retest defects; produce traceability to requirements.
  • Test Planning Contribution — Contribute to the test plan and test approach; review test specifications, defect reports and test results.
  • Test Data Management — Identify, create, retrieve, store and distribute data for testing and development activities.
  • Tooling Proficiency — Use of test management & software management tools such as JIRA and Xray; basic SQL (advantageous); basic Java (advantageous).
  • Agile Ceremony Participation — Backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Risk & Blocker Identification — Identify and report risks/blockers; understanding of test automation concepts; analytical and critical thinking.
  • UAT & Production Verification Support — Assist clients and end users in UAT and production verification and sign-off.

Education and Experience

Education

  • Matric (Essential)
  • ISTQB Certification (Advantageous)
  • Related qualifications (Advantageous)

 

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years Testing experience (Required)
  • Claims experience (Advantageous)
